Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.
Observation
Paul is urging those who read his letter to offer every part of themselves to God as a living sacrifice. He is beckoning us to not wrap ourselves in the bankrupt values of the world, but instead saturate ourselves in God's truth, living only for Him.
Application
It is not natural for my mind to think on the things of God. But what I think on will eventually be what pours out of me. What pours out of me is what I bring as an offering to Christ. If I want goodness to pour out of me, I have to renew my mind in Him.
Prayer
Father, help me to be a sacred offering that brings You pleasure.
