Scripture Memorization
Hebrews 11:6 And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to Him must first believe He exists and rewards those who earnestly seek Him.
Monday
S - Read Hebrews 11:6
And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to Him must first believe He exists and rewards those who earnestly seek Him.
O -
- What pleases God?
- What is the very first thing you must do in your first step of faith?
- What is the second?
- What is the third?
- Are your parents pleased when you believe them?
A - Make God smile by believing Him.
P - Ask God to help you come to Him first, believe what He say's, and to earnestly seek Him all the days of your life.
Tuesday
S - Read Psalm 43:3
Send me your light and your faithful care, let them lead me; let them bring me to your holy mountain, to the place where you dwell.
O -
- What can you ask God to send you?
- Where will His light and faithful care bring you?
- What does it mean to dwell with God?
- Why is dwelling with God good?
- What is great about God's faithful care?
A - If you get scared ask God to send His light and faithful care to you and believe that He will lead you to His peaceful presence.
P - Thank God for taking such good care of you and always leading you.
Wednesday
S - Read 2 Corinthians 5:7, review Psalm 43:3 from yesterday.
2 Corinthians 5:7 For we walk by faith and not by sight.
Psalm 43:3 Send me your light and your faithful care, let them lead me; let them bring me to your holy mountain, to the place where you dwell.
O -
- Have you ever walked in the dark or blindfolded?
- How could you keep from stumbling or falling?
- What if someone were talking you through each step? Would that help?
- After walking in the dark for awhile, did your eyes eventually adjust and were you able to see a little bit better?
A - Play the Marco/Polo game in the swimming pool this week and think about what it means to walk by faith.
P - God doesn't just turn off the lights and tell us to walk by faith, He sends us His light and faithful care to help us walk by faith. He talks us through each step and helps our "faith" eyes find His light in the darkness. Praise Him for giving you faith today so that you can walk in a way that pleases Him and ask Him to help you hear His voice above all others, so that you always listen to Him.
Thursday
S - Read Psalm 86:11
Teach me your way, LORD, that I may rely on your faithfulness; give me an undivided heart, that I may fear your name.
O -
- How can you learn about God's faithfulness?
- Can You think of times where He has been faithful?
- How can remembering God's faithfulness in the past help you when you are scared?
- What are some things that you have learned about God over the last few months.
A - Make a list of God's past faithfulness and put it on the refrigerator. Make another list of things you have learned about God and post them on the mirror in your room. Read both of them every time you go in and out of those rooms this week.
P - Thank God for always being faithful and ask Him to help you to learn His ways and rely on His faithfulness.
Friday
S - Read Psalm 40:10
I do not hide your righteousness in my heart; I speak of your faithfulness and your saving help. I do not conceal your love and your faithfulness from the great assembly.
O -
- When God shows Himself faithful, what are we supposed to do?
- Why are we supposed to tell others of His faithfulness?
- Why would hearing about how God has shown His faithfulness encourage other Christ followers?
- How could hearing of God's faithfulness draw unbelievers to Christ?
A -
Remember the list of faithful acts that you made yesterday. Tell someone about God's faithfulness today and try to do tell someone every time you see God show Himself faithful.
P -
Thank God for teaching you about faith. Ask Him to help you grow in faith, so that you always bring a smile to His face.
