Elena's Bible Study - Fruit of the Spirit - Week 6 (Kindness)

Scripture Memorization
Proverbs 3:3 Do not let kindness and truth leave you; Bind them around your neck, Write them on the tablet of your heart.

Monday
S - Read Micah 6:8
He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the LORD require of you but to do justice, to love kindness, And to walk humbly with your God?
O -
  1. What does the LORD require of you?
  2. Why are these things good?
  3. Look up the definition of justice. What are some examples of God's justice?
  1. How can you love kindness?
  1. Look up the definition of humble. What does being humble mean?

A - Take a walk with God and a parent.
P - Thank God for teaching you what is good. Ask God to help you be diligent about doing what He requires of you.

Tuesday
S - Read Zechariah 7:9
“Thus has the LORD of hosts said, ‘ Dispense true justice and practice kindness and compassion each to his brother;
O -
  1. Is it hard to show kindness and compassion to your brother?
  2. What are some ways that you can show kindness and compassion to your brother?
  3. This scripture say's to practice kindness and compassion.  What does the word practice mean?
A - Put this scripture to action by practicing compassion and kindness on your brother. Ask your mom to hold you accountable.
P - Thank God for His justice, kindness, and compassion.  Ask Him to help you be more like Him.

Wednesday
S - Read Job 6:14
“For the despairing man there should be kindness from his friend; So that he does not forsake the fear of the Almighty.
O -
  1. Look up the definition of the word despair  and write down what it means.
  2. Have you ever seen someone  or know of someone who is despairing?
  3. According to this scripture why should you show kindness to a friend who is despairing?
  4. What does fear of the Almighty mean?  (Ask your mom for help if you need it)
A - Bring to your mind someone who is sad today.  Make a list of 10 things that you really like about that person and mail it to them.
P - Ask God to help you be aware of those around you who might be sad and to give you kind words for them.

Thursday
S - Read Proverbs 31:26
She opens her mouth in wisdom, And the teaching of kindness is on her tongue.
O -
  1. Think about who this scripture is talking about. Do you want to grow up to be like this woman?
  1. How can you teach others kindness?
  2. Why is what you say so important in showing kindness to others?
  3. What are some kind things you can say to someone?
A - This scripture is a picture of who you are in Christ and the woman you will become. Draw a picture of what you think you will look like when you are a mom.
P - Thank God for teaching you kindness and giving you His wisdom. Ask Him to help you become the woman that He has made you to be.

Friday
S - Read Proverbs 3:3

  1. What would happen if you let kindness and truth leave you?
  1. What is something that you wear on your neck? Do you keep it on the inside or outside of your shirt?  Why?
  2. Why would God want others to see kindness and truth on you?
  3. God wants you to show others kindness and truth, but He wants it to come from what is inside your heart.  How can you get kindness and truth in your heart?
A - Do 5 acts of kindness toward others today.  Tell someone 5 truths that you have learned from God.
P - Thank God today that He uses you to show His kindness and truth to others. Thank Him for the fruit of kindness from His Spirit. Ask Him for more of His Spirit on your life today.
